Register for Wellness Coach Training Program

PREREQUISITES: This training is designed to be a graduate-level course, and participants must hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree. An exception may be made for applicants who have an associate's degree with a current health-related licensure (such as a nurse, respiratory therapist, or dental hygienist). Participants must mail or electronically send a copy of their current licensure and provide official transcripts of their highest degree. These transcripts must be translated into English if the original is in another language. **Please inform us at MCWCTP@mayo.edu if your transcript has a different last name than your current one, ie: maiden name.)** Fluency in written and spoken English is essential for success in the program and to ensure patient/client safety. Applicants must be able to demonstrate objective competency in English to participate fully in the online discussion assignments and may be required to submit results from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or equivalent examination. Moving Forward: Well-being in Cancer Survivorship

Chances are you know someone who has been affected by a cancer diagnosis. How best can we support cancer survivors as they navigate the transition from treatment to continued healing and beyond? In this session, you will gain a general understanding of the cancer journey from diagnosis onward as well as learn the valuable role their lifestyle can play in better outcomes and enhanced quality of life.

Objectives

  • Identify the general knowledge of cancer treatments and side effects
  • Summarize the benefits of addressing lifestyle changes for cancer survivors
  • Explore effective and meaningful interactions with cancer survivors

This course is approved for 1.5 CE credits which you can apply to your Mayo Clinic re-certification.

This course is also approved by NBHWC for 1.5 continuing education units (CEP #100103).

Is your next step the National Coaching Exam this summer? Join the Mayo Clinic Wellness Coach Training Program for a 3-session webinar series. These sessions will provide a review of the core competencies as spelled out in the NBHWC content outline: Coaching Structure, Coaching Process, Health & Wellness and Ethics. Mentor Coaching

Are you interested in taking your coaching skills to the next level? Mentor Coaching is open to graduates who have completed the Mayo Clinic Wellness Coach Training Program. This opportunity allows you to work one-on-one with a Nationally Board Certified- Health and Wellness Coach of the Mayo Clinic Healthy Living Program. In three, one-hour sessions, experience practical coaching, discuss and brainstorm strategies pertaining to specific coach situations or submit audio for your coach to review and provide feedback.
